The company began in 2020 as Dream by Design Consulting and was later re-registered as a construction company in December 2025 under the partnership of David Chisomo, Benjamin Chigwenyu, and Dumisani Samuel.

The company provides building design and construction, civil works, irrigation, drainage, water supply systems, and geospatial systems management. BuildCraft is registered with the PPDA and Malawi Revenue Authority, with CIRA and NWRA registration in progress under Managing Director David Chisomo Mwandira.
